Tucked away in the leafy village of Coton just outside Cambridge, you’ll find our iconic gastropub, The Plough, owned by Pasquale, known to the locals as Pascky, and his family.
With a heritage stretching back to the 18th century, this rural gastropub just outside Cambridge sits as the heart of the Coton village, nestled amongst one acre of mature trees and a tranquil meadow. Offering a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere, with both casual and formal dining areas, a large 80 seated covered terrace, a private room which can seat up to 18 guests, play area, large garden, and private meadow perfect for private events and special occasions.
The kitchen is headed up by newly appointed esteemed chef Matthew James and serves a menu of seasonal dishes and modern classics alongside a changing specials board. The food is both elegant and comforting, taking quality fresh ingredients from great producers and allowing them to shine.
Make sure to try our famous traditional Sunday roast, with lovingly made gravy and fluffy Yorkshire puddings, served throughout the day with all of the trimmings.
Front of house is managed by the friendly faces of Gabby and Mike, who’s experienced team will be delighted to fix you a great drink. Whether it be from our wine list, which boasts the largest selection of wines by the glass anywhere in Cambridge, or a gin and tonic using our family recipe, perfect for enjoying in our sunny garden or next to our cosy fireplace.
